The official release time for Highguard hasn’t been announced, but the game’s Steam page and a scheduled launch stream suggest it will be available at a certain time. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to pre-order or pre-load the game, so you’ll need to keep refreshing the Steam, PlayStation, or Xbox stores until it appears. If you’re eager to jump in and fight for control of the Shieldbreaker, here’s what you need to know about the release time and other details.
The game is set to launch on January 26, with the play window opening at 6 PM UTC. This translates to:
– 10 AM PST in California
– 1 PM EST on the East Coast
– 6 PM GMT in the UK
– 7 PM CET in Central Europe
– 5 AM AEDT on January 27 in Eastern Australia
While Wildlight Entertainment hasn’t confirmed this exact timing, their Steam page and SteamDB indicate the game will go live at 6 PM UTC. On launch day, there will also be a live showcase starting at the same time. The developers will share a full gameplay walkthrough, discuss plans for the first year, and reveal more about the game, so it might be worth tuning in while you’re waiting for the download to finish.
Speaking of downloads, there’s no option to pre-load Highguard on any platform. You’ll have to wait until the clock hits 6 PM UTC to start downloading. The game isn’t listed on Xbox or PlayStation stores yet, so those players will need to wait until then too. On PC, expect to need around 25 GB of space, plus your system must have Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 enabled to run the game properly.
