The dynamic nature of Cookie Run: Kingdom is marked by the regular introduction of new characters, which continually shifts the game’s meta. Despite these changes, five Ancient cookies have remained a staple, alongside the recent addition of five Beast cookies designed to complement the Ancients. Over the past two years, the game has also introduced a growing selection of Legendary cookies, along with various rarities including Special, Dragon, and Super Epic cookies.
Players typically prioritize Ancient, Legendary, and Beast cookies due to their ties to the storyline, particularly characters like Pure Vanilla Cookie and White Lily Cookie. But how do these rare cookies compare against each other?
Ranking Ancient Cookies
Awakened Ancients: The Top Performers
Pure Vanilla was once the premier healer in the game, but has since taken a backseat to newer options like Mystic Flour and Snapdragon. Although he remains a viable healer and can stand in for those who surpass him, Dark Cacao lacks significant advantages beyond his unique ability to negate HP shields.

White Lily and Golden Cheese have both seen a decline in their arena performance since their introduction, yet they still pack a punch and can be very effective during exploration or boss rush events. Meanwhile, Hollyberry’s effectiveness can be unpredictable; in arena play, she often feels left out, with players leaning toward Awakened Dark Cacao, Burning Spice, or newer defensive cookies. Like Pure Vanilla, she still holds value in party compositions, but there appear to be stronger alternatives available since her debut.
It’s worth noting that the newly awakened forms of the Ancients need separate consideration. Currently, only Golden Cheese and Dark Cacao have been awakened, with expectations for others to follow. While neither is remarkably strong on their own, the enhancements from their awakenings make them formidable contenders in CRK.
Ranking Legendary Cookies
Newer Cookies Outperform Older Ones
Originally, Sea Fairy was the dominant Legendary cookie in arenas, but with the release of other Legendaries, she’s lost her edge. Even after receiving minor buffs through the introduction of Soul Jams, she still lags behind new arrivals like Moonlight and Black Pearl. Now that all three possess Crystal Jams, Sea Fairy no longer stands out as she once did.

Conversely, Frost Queen started as the least powerful of the Legendaries, but has continuously received enhancements that now place her among the best. With her Crystal Jam significantly boosting her power, she also benefits from buffs like increased HP and defense, alongside reduced cooldown times. Although Moonlight is a strong challenger in arenas, Frost Queen generally excels across most gameplay modes.
Stormbringer Cookie is a dependable character known for her strong attack and ability to absorb damage. Her presence in the meta might be more prominent if not for the awakened Ancients or Beasts. Stormbringer is slightly outdistanced by Burning Spice cookie, yet she serves as an excellent option as a front-line charge cookie as long as players prioritize obtaining her. However, she can also be easily replaced by cookies such as Financier Cookie.
Wind Archer is the most recent Legendary and is currently the most powerful. While not directly opposing Shadow Milk, Wind Archer remains one of the few cookies able to compete with him in damage output and is less likely to be easily substituted. Wind Archer performs exceptionally well in both arena and exploration modes, making him a worthwhile investment.
Ranking Beast Cookies
The Rarest Cookies Available
Shadow Milk Cookie holds a top tier position, though his status may shift since he’s the newest member of the Beasts. Newly launched cookies often experience significant nerfs shortly after their introduction to maintain game balance, so it’s likely he won’t remain overpowered for long. However, based on how he parallels Pure Vanilla—the leader of the Ancients—and his demonstrated capabilities, it’s reasonable to assume he’ll remain a top contender for some time.

Mystic Flour and Burning Spice are both prominent picks in the arena for good reason. Given their high rarity, Beasts face little competition, making it tough to assess their relative strengths. Mystic Flour stands out as the top healer, while Burning Spice ranks as the best charge cookie, currently offering a slight edge over Awakened Dark Cacao. Collectively, all Ancient, Beast, and Legendary cookies represent some of the best options in Cookie Run: Kingdom, although strategic choices on which to develop are crucial.
