The Quassus is one of the few Warfans available in Warframe, representing a melee weapon class that utilizes fan blades to effectively battle foes. This infested Warfan can unleash a flurry of daggers during heavy attacks, ensuring each dagger causes guaranteed Slash damage.
With the right setup, the Quassus can handle some of the toughest adversaries in Warframe, as long as they’re not immune to Slash damage. This guide provides all the essential information on the Quassus, covering everything from crafting necessities to powerful builds that can turn this Warfan into a formidable melee weapon.
How to Craft the Quassus
You can obtain the Quassus by completing Cambion Drift bounties on Deimos. The more challenging bounties available in Rotation C have a higher chance of dropping the blueprint for this weapon. You only need the main blueprint to begin crafting; there are no additional specific components for the Quassus.
To craft the Quassus, you’ll need not just the blueprint but also a Seriglass Shard. This item costs a steep 20 Grandmother Tokens, making it one of the pricier crafting materials in the game. Be sure to accumulate as many tokens as possible to exchange them for Grandmother Tokens when her store refreshes.

How to Craft the Quassus Prime
Like other Prime weapons, the Quassus Prime can be acquired through cracked Void Relics. Completing most activities in Warframe rewards players with these relics. Once you have them, participate in Fissure missions on the Star Chart to open the relics using reactant obtained from defeated Corrupted enemies. Look for relics that contain parts for the Quassus Prime to enhance your chances of securing its components.

Quassus Stats and Features
The Quassus is a Warfan that unleashes a storm of daggers during heavy attacks. Each dagger comes with a guaranteed Slash status and has a high critical chance, making it perfect for taking down high-value targets like Demolysts and Acolytes. The initial heavy attack releases 12 daggers (or 18 for the Prime variant), and the number decreases with consecutive heavy attacks.
Subsequent heavy attacks retain the same base damage, but the fewer daggers mean fewer Slash procs per hit.
This impressive heavy attack encourages a focus on heavy attack builds. Trying to build for light attacks isn’t recommended due to the weapon’s limited range and unwieldy stance combinations. As a heavy attack weapon, the Quassus can quickly eliminate some of Warframe’s strongest foes, dealing millions in damage when optimized for critical hits, heavy melee damage, and status effects.
Quassus Builds
We’ll explore two builds for the Quassus today: one for the standard variant and another optimized configuration for the Prime version. Both setups center around heavy attacks, as light attack builds are generally not effective for this weapon.
If you want to maximize this weapon’s performance beyond what we demonstrate, consider using Kullervo’s Wrathful Advance ability on your favorite Warframe. This ability makes the Quassus always deal critical hits, causing immense damage per dagger and is undoubtedly the best way to enhance this weapon if you’re aiming for high-level gameplay.
If you manage to acquire a Riven for the Quassus, prioritize improvements to Critical Chance, Critical Damage, and Initial Combo.

To create an effective heavy attack build, emphasize heavy attack damage, initial combo, and status damage. Start with Killing Blow to enhance your heavy attack’s base damage and charge time. This stacks nicely with Pressure Point to ensure your heavy attacks deal substantial damage. You can further boost this with Corrupt Charge by doubling your initial combo count.
Thanks to the Quassus’s strong critical stats, enhance that aspect with True Steel and Organ Shatter, which significantly increase critical chance and critical damage respectively. Additionally, Berserker’s Fury helps speed up the recovery animation after each heavy attack. Increase your Slash damage with Melee Elementalist, creating a well-rounded build. The final slot can be flexible; we opted for an elemental mod for extra damage.

This build is quite similar to the previous one but features much stronger mods. One significant change is that we substitute True Steel with Galvanized Steel, which greatly boosts critical damage after achieving some kills. A 110% increase in critical chance may seem minor, but remember that this boost is doubled for heavy attacks—you’ll consistently get critical hits.
Pressure Point is also replaced by its Primed version for a substantial increase in base damage. For combo stats, replace Corrupt Charge with Galvanized Reflex. Accumulating four kills will set your base combo to 80, leading to significantly heightened heavy attack damage. We utilize the Amalgam variant of Organ Shatter for added attack speed and replace our elemental mod with any smite mod that counters your enemies’ faction. Bane mods provide an excellent damage boost when combined with status builds like this one.
Finally, we equip Dreamer’s Wrath in the Exilus slot for occasional Tennokai buffs, allowing you to execute a heavy attack without cost while boosting your critical damage. No specific Arcanes are necessary for this build, but if you possess it, Melee Exposure is a great addition. Since this setup avoids elemental mods, Melee Exposure becomes a fantastic option for swiftly taking down enemies using light attacks.
