Arknights: Endfield has a wide range of characters called Operators who serve many roles in combat, such as damage dealers, supporters, debuffers, healers, and others. As the game progresses, more characters and roles will become available.
In the early stages of the game, your choices are limited because you don’t have much Headhunting currency and your pool of Operators is small. However, there are several strong characters suitable for beginners, which we will explore below.
### Endministrator
The Endministrator is the first 6-star Operator you get for free. As the protagonist of the game, she easily fits into early teams. ### Ardelia
Ardelia, also a 6-star Operator, is obtained early through the Awakening Sign-In event. She is a powerful support character who can heal your team while debuffing enemies. She uses the Nature element and can inflict Corrosion with her skill. She can also trade Corrosion to inflict Physical and Arts Susceptibility, making her highly flexible. She fits well in any early game team that needs healing. During the Awakening Sign-In event, players also receive the Dreams of the Starry Beach weapon, which complements her healing and debuffing skills.
### Perlica
Perlica is a 5-star Arts User with Electric attacks, easily joining any team focused on Arts damage early in the game. Her Combo Skill inflicts Electrification, triggering when her controlled Operator lands a Final Strike, which helps her maximize her kit’s effectiveness. Electrification makes enemies take more Arts damage from all sources. She is especially strong in Electric teams, applying Electric Infliction with her Skill to trigger more Electrification or to be used by characters like Arclight for more SP. Overall, Perlica is a flexible buffer and support damage dealer who is available for free early on.
### Chen Qianyu
Chen is a 5-star Operator acquired at the start of the story. While not as versatile as Perlica, she excels at dealing physical damage and can carry teams that focus on physical damage through the story and beyond. She specializes in applying Vulnerable and Lift, working well with damage dealers like the Endadministrator or Pogranichnik, who can consume Vulnerable stacks for extra effects and damage.
### Xaihi
Xaihi is a 5-star Support Operator who can buffs her team with Cryo and Arts amplification. She heals controlled Operators and, if they are at full health, grants them an Arts Buff. Xaihi is particularly effective in Cryo and Nature Arts teams, especially when paired with powerful damage dealers like Last Rite, who can benefit greatly from her buffs and debuffs.
### Arclight
Arclight, a 5-star Vanguard, specializes in generating Strategy Points (SP) for her team, enabling more frequent use of skills. She is one of the top Vanguards, especially in Electric-focused teams, working well with operators like Perlica, Avywenna, and Antal. Since Perlica is free and Antal is a 4-star, setting up this team is straightforward early in the game, offering strong synergies and fun gameplay.
### Antal
Antal is a 4-star Operator with excellent versatility. He works well with Electric and Heat Operators, boosting team damage with his Ultimate that applies Electric and Heat Amplifiers to the entire team. This makes him a perfect fit for two of the strongest team compositions: Laevatain’s Heat team or Avywenna’s Electric team. Obtaining him early allows for easy potential upgrades.
### Avywenna
Avywenna is a 5-star Electric damage dealer who pairs well with many other Operators. When building your first team, Electric and Physical strategies are easiest due to the availability of Operators. Avywenna shines in Electric teams, especially when combined with operators like Antal, Perlica, Arclight, or Akekuri. Even without the best equipment, her presence can lead to a powerful Electric team capable of progressing through the story and saving resources for future limited operators.
