There are many ways to customize the lives of your Miis in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream. One fun option is helping them find the perfect interior style for their homes, adding a unique touch to each residence.

The game offers a variety of interior styles. You can buy these styles from a shop or unlock more at the Fountain as part of your wishes. Whether your Miis want a change or you’re feeling creative, here’s what you need to know.

Interior Decoration Overview

Once you have at least four Miis and two pairs of friends, you unlock T&C Reno, a building dedicated to interior design. Here, you’ll find different interior sets in various patterns and colors. Each set costs money, and after purchasing, you can choose to renovate any Mii’s home by talking to them and selecting the “Renovate” option.

Your Miis start with wallpaper that matches their personality, but you can change their home decor to better reflect their style. The process involves unlocking new interior designs through different methods, such as leveling up your island or making wishes.

Once T&C Reno is available, you can access pre-made interior designs immediately. As you level up your island, you can earn new styles by spending Warm Fuzzies at the shop or checking weekly specials, which change every week. You can also design your own interiors at the Palette House once unlocked, allowing for even more customization.

Miis will have opinions about their new interiors. If they like the style, you’ll earn happiness points, especially if their opinion is high. This adds to their happiness level and makes them more active friends.

When a Mii has a new interior, it appears on their walls whenever you visit. You can change or swap these designs later using the Y-button menu during visits to keep things fresh for them.

What Happens When Miis Move In Together?

In Living the Dream, Miis can move in as friends or romantic partners. Their rooms will be shared in the house’s first floor, but each Mii still gets their own bedroom upstairs. This way, they can have personal space while sharing a communal living area.

Interior Design Sets and How to Obtain Them

There are many interior sets available, unlocked through different methods. Here are the main ways to get new styles:

Leveling Up and Spending Warm Fuzzies: Each time your island levels up, you earn a wish at the Fountain. Spending Warm Fuzzies unlocks new interior styles for purchase at T&C Reno. Each style comes in various colors, and you’ll get one free copy with the color assigned.
Weekly Specials: Every week, T&C Reno offers a limited-time interior set. These are available for a week, giving you time to earn the necessary money before they change.
Designing Custom Interiors: After unlocking this feature at the Palette House (as a level-up reward), you can create your own interior designs to offer to your Miis.

Keep in mind, Miis will react to their surroundings. If they like the interior, you’ll earn happiness points, boosting their mood and level.

Once you’ve unlocked interior styles at the Fountain and obtained a free copy, you can buy additional copies or colors from T&C Reno at any time.
