Insomniac Games, one of Sony’s most active and acclaimed studios, is currently wrapping up Marvel’s Wolverine, but it seems that work has already started on another superhero action game. Recently, Ben Jordan, the actor who serves as the face model for Peter Parker in the Marvel’s Spider-Man series, shared an intriguing image on his Instagram story before it was taken down.
Fans managed to capture the post, revealing Jordan in what appeared to be motion capture gear, posing with his hands as if shooting webbing — reminiscent of Spider-Man’s signature gesture. The caption read “IYKYK,” accompanied by a spider emoji, hinting strongly at a connection to Spider-Man.
Given the immense popularity of the series, a third installment of Marvel’s Spider-Man feels almost inevitable. This is further supported by how Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 leaves many plot threads open for a sequel. Whether Jordan’s post holds any official significance or not, it’s safe to say work on the game has likely been underway for some time.
One question lingering is whether the next game will be released for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 6, or perhaps both. The gap between the first and second titles was about five years, and it’s reasonable to expect a similar or longer interval before Spider-Man 3 arrives — possibly not until fall 2028 or later. This timeframe might push the release beyond the lifespan of Sony’s next-generation console.
For now, it’s all educated guesswork. Are you excited about Marvel’s Spider-Man 3? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
