A remake of a well-known PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 adventure game might arrive sooner than expected. The release date could be as early as July 9, 2026, according to a recent Insider Gaming report. Originally, Ubisoft planned to announce the game and its release details today, but those plans have been pushed back to next week.
A roughly 30-minute presentation has been sent to select media outlets and content creators, revealing that the remake will feature updated content and enhancements. Contrary to some rumors, it appears the remake won’t include RPG elements and will remain a dedicated remake rather than a hybrid.
Ubisoft confirmed last month that Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, one of the franchise’s most popular titles, will be getting a remake. While the announcement, titled Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced, included only a piece of concept art, it was clear the game is in development.
Although details are limited, previous leaks suggest that Black Flag: Resynced will be a comprehensive overhaul, boasting visual improvements as well as gameplay modifications to align it with newer Assassin’s Creed titles. Rumors indicate that new story content might be added, but some parts of the original game are expected to be cut in the remake.
More information about the game is anticipated in the coming weeks before its official reveal.
