Today it was announced by Developer Toadman Interactive that a new IGI game is being made. Project IGI 3, which is called Origins of the available artwork is anything to go by, which is decided to be released in 2022.
Since the 2003’s, this third I.G.I game marks the first entry in the series. I.G.I-2: Covert Strike.
The title has been confirmed to be a tactical stealth FPS that will explore the origin story of the I.G.I organization while details on Project I.G.I 3 remain scarce. That being said, the Toadman has further cleared that the game is in its prototyping stage.

In the I.G.I series, the third entry is currently in the prototyping stage. Along with this, Toadman Interactive is also working on one of the original series creators on this project.
About the upcoming release, Robin Flodin has also spoken, who is also the CEO of Toadman Interactive. Flodin further said that he is so excited to announce that the prototyping is going well and they already have a fun base game to play inside the studio.

For more than 17 years, the fans have been waiting for the next entry into the franchise. Surely, we can all wait a bit longer to achieve the best sequel possible.
