In return, Gowry will share a secret about Sellia. Go to the Heart of the Aeonian Swamp to battle Commander O’Neil and his summoned allies. After you defeat him, he will drop a broken Unalloyed Gold Needle.
Return this item to Gowry, and he’ll provide you with the knowledge to proceed. To clear your way forward, you need to ignite three braziers.
