Gamma 1 In Versus And Online Matches
Gamma 1 features average stats. Although his basic combo damage might be low and he has a relatively high DP cost of seven, he can still deliver significant damage thanks to his special moves. Being an android allows him to passively charge his Ki, enabling him to maintain pressure on opponents until his gauges are full.
While Gamma 1 does generate Ki passively, it’s best to save some Ki and not use it all at once when the gauge is full.
His first skill, Superhero Pose 1, boosts all damage output for a brief period at a modest cost of two Skill Points. This skill is incredibly useful and should be activated as soon as you have the necessary points. However, if you find it tricky to counter your opponent, it might be wise to save an additional Skill Point for his second skill.
Android Shield serves as a protective barrier, blocking any attacks directed at Gamma 1. It’s particularly useful for escaping an opponent’s combo, but it can also defend against special moves and ultimate attacks.
Although Android Barrier is primarily for escaping combos, it can also shield against unavoidable/unblockable attacks.
Gamma 1 can utilize both Blast and Rush Special Moves, namely Gamma Blaster and Gamma Impact, which each require three Ki Gauges. The former launches a quick-moving energy ball that inflicts moderate damage upon hitting the target. The ideal time to use this move is at the end of a combo to maximize damage.
Gamma Impact allows him to dash straight at his opponent, dealing moderate damage and knocking them back. Like the previous special move, utilizing it at the end of a combo or during a launch will ensure it connects effectively.
Gamma Shift Shot starts with Gamma 1 swiftly firing three small energy balls. If they hit, Gamma 2 will arrive and unleash a more powerful shot that delivers major damage. To increase the chances of landing this attack, keep your opponent as close as possible to avoid them evading it, and use a Sweep Attack or Gut Punch to stagger them first.
Don’t forget to activate Superhero Pose 1 to maximize damage from the Special Moves.
