As the name suggests, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is about running through the pages of Mr. E. and discovering the many creatures listed in his pages.

Just like in real life, there are lots of creatures to find, and many chapters to hold them. Mr. E. is a very detailed book with plenty of chapters for you to explore.

How Many Chapters Are There?

There are a total of 12 chapters for you to explore. Each one is completely unique, and it’s rare for them to share the same main creatures as other chapters.

However, you’ll see many creatures appear in multiple chapters over time. For example, Crayzee Dayzee and Bunchabee are quite common. When they reappear in later chapters, they often interact with new creatures introduced there.

Can You Play The Chapters In Any Order?

When reading a book, you wouldn’t usually flip through pages randomly or skip sections just to get to the exciting parts. It’s similar in the game. Mr. E is a book with several chapters, and you can jump into any of the chapters you’ve unlocked at any time.

This isn’t exactly skipping chapters but playing them in your preferred order. Ultimately, all of them need to be completed for the story to move forward and for the later chapters to unlock. But yes, you can finish Chapter One and then immediately go to Chapter Six if you have the Discovery Level to do so.

Note that Chapters seven through ten are also available, but the first six must be finished before you can access them.

Unlocking new chapters in the game is quite straightforward, although you can accelerate the process if you’re eager. As you discover more creatures, you earn discoveries. The more discoveries you make, the more chapters you unlock.

To speed things up, you can focus on learning everything about creatures in a specific chapter to unlock the next chapters faster.

After finishing all ten chapters, you can finally see the game’s true ending and know you’ve experienced everything the game has to offer. Now, it’s time for the post-game to begin!
