Smite 2 Account Linking Guide
Smite 2 is finally here, and it’s the highly anticipated follow-up to the beloved free-to-play MOBA, Smite. If you’ve been playing the original game for a while, you’ve likely amassed a collection of skins, unlocks, and rewards that you’d want to transfer over. Luckily, the Divine Legacy feature allows you to link your accounts between Smite and Smite 2, so you can keep enjoying the fruits of your labor.
While linking your accounts is a straightforward process, there are a few key steps to follow. Once you’ve completed them, you’ll be good to go. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to transfer your progress from Smite to Smite 2.
How to Link Your Smite Account
First things first, you need to link your Smite account. If you have multiple accounts, choose the one with the most rewards or the most playtime, and log in.
- From the title screen, select Divine Legacy. This will take you to the rewards screen, where you can see unlocks for both games.
- On the right side of the Divine Legacy screen, find the option to link your account. If you’ve already linked your accounts, you’ll see a green checkmark. If not, follow the prompts to complete the linking process.
Important: Once you link your account, this action cannot be undone!
How to Connect Your Smite 2 Account
Now that your Smite account is linked, head over to link.smite2.com to connect your Smite 2 account. This step can’t be completed within the Smite 2 game itself; you’ll need to do it through your web browser.
- If you’re playing on a Nintendo Switch, you first need to connect your Switch account to one of the following platforms: Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, or Epic Games. You can do this by visiting hirezstudios.com.
Once at the Smite 2 linking site, select the platform where your Smite account is located and log in.
- Log into all your accounts that you intend to use for Smite 2. Choose one as your Primary Account. This should be the account where you plan to spend the most time playing or the one that already has progress in Smite 2.
Note: Your progress is tied to this Primary Account, so make sure to set it up correctly before diving back into Smite 2!
Once your accounts are linked, simply close the browser window. The next time you log into Smite 2, all your Divine Legacy rewards should automatically be added to your account.
Does Smite 2 Have Cross Progression?
Yes! Smite 2 supports cross-progression as long as you’ve linked all your accounts correctly on the site. Any progress you make while logged into a linked account will be saved to your Primary Account and accessible across all your linked platforms.
This means you can share your progress between Smite 2 accounts on Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, and Epic Games. Additionally, you can link your Nintendo Switch account to one of those four platforms.
Since all progress is attached to your Primary Account, it’s essential to choose an account you intend to keep long-term. Switching or losing your Primary Account can result in losing any unlocked rewards.
Tip: After you’ve set up your Divine Legacy, you probably won’t need to visit the linking site again unless you need to add an account for a new console.
With these steps, you should be all set to continue your journey in Smite 2 seamlessly!
