Early in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, you’ll face a choice about Jessie that might leave you unsure which option is better at the moment. The game has recently been released on new platforms, and players can now experience Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade on Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S. This full version includes all post-launch updates and the Episode INTERmission expansion.
During your game play, you’ll encounter several choices that may or may not influence certain scenes and how characters interact with you. For example, one obvious choice is selecting what dress Aerith and Tifa wear in Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Depending on your decisions, their appearances might change in some parts of the game. Other choices could also affect your reputation with certain non-player characters.
How to Respond to Jessie’s Invitation in FF7 Remake
There are two small outcomes based on your decision. One occurs with Jessie after completing the “Jessie Job” mission in Chapter 4, called “Mad Dash.” After returning to the Sector 7 Slums, Cloud visits Jessie’s home. She asks him to come back the next night when her roommates aren’t around.
At this point, you have two options. You can respond with “No promises,” showing interest but no guarantees, or choose “Not happening,” which is a clear rejection. Whatever choice you make won’t change the overall story. The only difference is how Jessie reacts. If Cloud seems interested, she talks about the ingredients she plans to use for the pizza she wants to cook for him — showing her excitement about her feelings. If you turn her down, she’ll mention that her approach to courting Cloud will change.
Jessie Can’t Be Romanced in the Game
It’s important to note that your decision about Jessie doesn’t impact her affection levels or other characters like Tifa or Aerith. Even though she seems to have a real interest in Cloud, she cannot be romanced in the game.
This choice is purely optional and doesn’t influence the storyline. You can decide based on your role-playing style. For example, if you want Cloud to be interested in Tifa, you might reject Jessie’s invitation. Knowing that neither choice affects the main story can help you feel more relaxed when making your decision.
