Crimson Desert recently released an update that adds several features fans requested. These include different difficulty settings, new pets, bug fixes, and a couple of new quests. The most notable addition is the variety of storage containers you can buy for your food, clothing, materials, and quest items.
To upgrade your house with these storage chests, you’ll need to do some traveling to find them all. Except for the Kuku Cooler, which is a bit more difficult to obtain, most of these containers only require money to purchase. Here’s everything you should know about the wardrobe, collectibles, and gatherables chests in Crimson Desert.
### How to Get the Collectibles Chest
To acquire the Collectibles Chest, you must first complete a short quest called “Early Encounter.” This quest is located just north of the Nas River in Hernand at the Timberturner Wainwright. When you arrive, talk to the servant, who will tell you that you’re being rewarded for your efforts. However, you need to go to the Timberham Sawmill to pick up your prize.
The sawmill is west of Hernand, near the main city, and is where the Furniture Vendor for that region is located. When you arrive, speak to the noble there, and he will gift you the Collectibles Chest. You can place this in your house to store quest items, books, notes, bounty posters, keys, and more. While many of these items may no longer be needed once you’ve learned their information, keeping some books to browse later can be a nice touch.
### How to Get the Gatherables Chest
The Gatherables Chest can be purchased from any Furniture Vendor throughout the game. It costs 50 Silver and can be bought at any time—no quest is needed to unlock this option. This chest stores crafting materials used for refining gear, blacksmithing, brewing tonics, or making other items that aren’t food.
For players who are further into the game, 50 Silver is an easy expense. If you’re just starting out, there’s a way to get some extra money early on. You can find a gold bar hidden in the fireplace of Lioncrest Manor, located northwest of Hernand. Selling that gold bar at your local bank yields 500 Silver, making it a smart investment that allows you to buy the Gatherables Chest and other helpful items.
You can also use this chest to refine or craft items directly from it without having to transfer everything into your regular inventory. Depositing minerals here, for example, helps save inventory space while exploring.
### How to Get the Wardrobe
To obtain the Wardrobe for storing different armor sets and clothing, you need to travel to Delesyia in the east—an advanced and dangerous region filled with mechanical enemies. Head to Timberton, located just north of the Eastern Hills.
When you arrive, find the furniture vendor who wears a green tunic and speak to him. He offers several Wardrobes in various shapes and colors for sale. Since no other vendor in the game sells them, this is your only chance to get one. Once purchased, just place the Wardrobe in your house. Be sure to face the door correctly—make sure the green arrow points outward so you can open it easily and access your armor collections.
All these storage options make it easier to organize your items and keep your inventory clear while exploring the world of Crimson Desert.
