Pokemon Go is introducing a new research day event this season, focused on gathering and completing various Field Research Tasks. This month, Pokemon Go will host the Fuzzy Buddy Research Day, which will feature four different Pokemon instead of the usual one.
The Fuzzy Buddy Research Day is set for Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 2 PM to 5 PM local time. This event will include several features; check out our detailed guide below to ensure you make the most of it.
Featured Pokemon: Teddiursa, Cubchoo, Pancham, and Stufful
During this research day, you can expect to see Teddiursa, Cubchoo, Pancham, and Stufful—all adorable bear-themed Pokemon. As part of the event, you’ll have the chance to encounter and catch each of these Pokemon multiple times by completing special, limited-time Field Research Tasks that you can gather by spinning PokeStop Photo Discs.
Notably, since these Pokemon will be featured in the event, you’ll have better odds of encountering their Shiny forms during the Fuzzy Buddy Research Day.
Paid Timed Research
You can also purchase additional Timed Research for this event, which will unlock special tasks and rewards for participants. This Timed Research is available in the Pokemon Go in-game shop for $2.00 USD. Completing the tasks associated with this Timed Research will give you the chance to encounter the featured Pokemon, allowing you to choose exactly which Pokemon you want to catch.
Note: Make sure to complete this Timed Research before the Fuzzy Buddy Research Day ends.
Wild Encounter Pokemon
In addition to the featured Pokemon, several others will appear more frequently in the wild during the Fuzzy Buddy Research Day, following the event’s theme. These Pokemon include:
- Sentret
- Slakoth
- Bunnelby
- Minccino
- Bidoof
Get ready to enjoy this exciting research day event and make the most of your Pokemon Go experience!
