For the first time in nearly twenty years, *The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion* has been given a fresh coat of paint with stunning next-gen graphics and major gameplay enhancements. Gamers around the world are diving back into the world of *Oblivion Remastered*, reliving its iconic storyline and enjoying a nostalgia-fueled adventure.
Your main objective in this journey is to retrieve the Amulet of Kings, ensuring a secure future for Cyrodiil. To recover the Amulet, you’ll need to gather several important items, including the ‘Blood of the Divines,’ which you’ll come across during a quest of the same name.
How to Begin the Blood of the Divines Quest
The *Blood of the Divines* quest starts right after finishing the previous quest, *Bruma Gate.* You’ll need to talk to Martin at the Cloud Ruler Temple. After obtaining the first of four necessary items to open a portal to Camoran’s Realm in the *Blood of the Daedra* quest, Martin discovers you need the Blood of a Divine, or a God. Although he is unsure how to acquire this, Martin mentions that Jauffre has the solution.
Locate Jauffre in the Cloud Ruler Temple. He reveals that to obtain the Blood of a Divine, you must travel to Sancre Tor and retrieve the Armor of Tiber Septim, a former ruler who became the God Talos. Jauffre will give you a key to Sancre Tor and mark it on your map.
However, the catacombs of Sancre Tor have been sealed off since they were overrun by malevolent spirits centuries ago, and those who ventured there have never returned safely, including past Blades members.
Getting to Sancre Tor is straightforward: fast travel to Chorrol and head north along the main road. Keep going north even when the road curves east. Chorrol is also a great spot to stock up on supplies, as you’ll need plenty of silver weapons for your trip. Ghosts, which are resistant to most typical weapons, will be your primary foes, but silver weapons and magic will be effective against them.
Completing the Sancre Tor Quest
When you reach Sancre Tor, you will likely encounter some Skeletons. Defeat them and make your way to the main tower within the ruins, where you’ll find the entrance to the underground catacombs.
Finding your way through the catacombs can be challenging, as many areas look alike. It’s advisable to use a torch to illuminate the darker sections. Follow your waypoint and consult the map if you get lost. Your objective is to locate the four ‘Undead Blades,’ the haunted remains of Blades who entered the catacombs centuries ago to eliminate enemy spirits.
You must defeat all four Undead Blades to release their spirits, which will then appear as friendly Ghosts. Don’t worry; these spirits are crucial for recovering the Armor of Tiber Septim. You can free the spirits in any order, but the quest will guide you to each one, making it easy to find them all.
Once each spirit is freed, they will slowly return to the central tomb where the armor resides.
If a Ghost gets stuck or glitches while returning, you can enter the tomb with any of the three spirits that made it back, exit, and check on the one that lagged. It should reset and start walking over. If it still doesn’t work, you may need to reload a save, so make sure to save frequently and keep an eye on the ghosts during this mission.
Once all four Blades enter the central tomb, they will remove the protection from the armor, allowing you to pick it up and leave the catacombs. Return to Martin at the Cloud Ruler Temple, where he will express his gratitude and inform you that he has located the third item needed, which is in Miscarand.
While you can technically approach the Armor of Tiber Septim without all the Blades’ spirits, you won’t be able to claim it without them lifting the protective barrier. Getting too close will gradually inflict frost damage, leading to your demise, so avoid attempting it without all four spirits present.
