When you start playing The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy and pause the game to save or fast-travel around school, you’ll notice a few unique materials at the bottom-right of the screen. Takumi, your helpful companion, keeps tabs on these resources, which are essential for your journey ahead.

These materials are crucial for enhancing your team’s battle skills by upgrading their Class Weapons, crafting gifts with the Gift-o-Matic, and more. Here’s how to maximize your resource collection in The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy.

Explore and Battle for Resources

What Are Resources Used For?

As you settle into life at the Last Defense Academy, probably when you first try upgrading a Class Weapon in the Training Room, you’ll discover you need five different types of resources for various tasks. While Takumi starts with minimal supplies, your goal is to diligently collect these materials over the next 100 days.

You’ll use these resources primarily for two purposes:

  • Creating gifts for teammates with the Gift-o-Matic. To craft each gift, you’ll need various materials, and some recipes require special treasures for more sought-after gifts. While gifting can get expensive, it boosts your Grade much more effectively than spending time with friends, so make it a priority.
  • Upgrading Class Weapons for all characters, which enhances not only your power but also teaches your teammates new combat skills. Each character starts with basic abilities, and as you advance, you’ll unlock more perks and skills. Keep in mind that upgrading Class Weapons demands good grades and a collection of resources.

How to Gather More Resources

If you ever find your resources running low, the best strategy is to embark on expeditions beyond the Undying Flames. Explore the board game layout outside the school to gather various resources. Each space is marked with an icon representing the resource available, and tougher challenges yield greater rewards, albeit with added risk. Plan your moves based on what you need and the level of challenge you’re ready to face.

Whenever you pause the game, you can check how many resources you have, even while actively seeking more. It’s wise to keep a stock on hand, as you might need them during Free Time for activities that can enhance your combat skills or social interactions with friends.
