Los Angeles: Pop sensation Taylor Swift’s career continues to soar to new heights.

At the recent MTV Video Music Awards, the acclaimed singer-songwriter shattered records by taking home an astonishing 30 Moon Person trophies, as reported by ‘Variety’.

This achievement has further expanded her collection, eclipsing the previous solo artist record of 25 wins held by Beyoncé. Additionally, Swift made history as the first artist to claim the Video of the Year award five times.

According to ‘Variety’, during her acceptance speech for the esteemed Video of the Year award, Swift reflected on her experience directing the video and expressed gratitude towards everyone involved, including Post Malone and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who she mentioned was “cheering and woo-ing from across the studio where we were filming the video.” She added, “I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot because it’s a memory I’ll always cherish.”

In her heartfelt speech, she also made sure to acknowledge her fans, saying, “Thank you for making my life what it is, for turning the Eras Tour into such a spectacular journey, and for giving ‘The Tortured Poet’s Department’ its unique essence. That’s all thanks to you.”

Before exiting the stage, Swift reiterated a message she shared in an Instagram post the night prior, urging attendees to participate in the upcoming elections. “If you’re 18, please make sure to register to vote,” she urged the VMAs audience. “This election is incredibly important.”

Swift led the list of nominees with a total of 12 nominations, which included prestigious categories like Artist of the Year, along with several accolades for her collaboration with Post Malone on ‘Fortnight’. The song secured wins for Song of the Year, Song of the Summer, and Video of the Year, among others. She holds the distinction of being the only artist to win the latter category three consecutive times.

Beyoncé also received a nomination for Song of the Year with her track ‘Texas Hold ’Em’, the lead single from her country album ‘Cowboy Carter’. ‘Texas’ was up against Swift’s ‘Fortnight’ and Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’.
