Online reports have recently flooded social media with claims that the highly anticipated racing game of 2026, Forza Horizon 6, was leaked and cracked nearly ten days ahead of its official launch date.
The incident reportedly took place after a developer failed to encrypt the game’s files before uploading them to the Steam servers. As a result, hackers and leakers had a field day, sharing 155 GB of content through torrenting the full version of Forza Horizon 6 across various platforms on the internet.
Players who legally purchased the game’s “Premium Edition” are the primary victims here. They were supposed to enjoy early access starting May 15 after paying a premium price. However, the leak has enabled many fans to play the game far earlier and for free via unauthorized torrent sites.

The leak triggered a variety of responses on social media, with some fans celebrating the early access, while others criticized those who uploaded it, arguing that it could hurt the game’s overall popularity.
A user on X (formerly Twitter) commented, “I’m still going to buy it for multiplayer with friends, but people throwing tantrums over piracy in 2026 is just crazy.”
Another added, “It’s nuts that a company like Microsoft would upload unencrypted files publicly. It’s not like Zelda leaking from a ROM in a warehouse—that was accidental. This is on purpose. It’s a new level of incompetence, lol.”
One more noted, “Forza Horizon has been one of the best-selling games on Steam for days. This leak won’t change that whatsoever. Everyone just ends up downloading it illegally, which is all good for sales.”
