Mumbai: The talented singer-songwriter Dua Lipa has touched down in Mumbai in preparation for her much-anticipated concert on November 30 in India’s bustling metropolis.
This past Thursday, she was spotted arriving at Kalina Airport, where she sported a vibrant yellow t-shirt paired with sleek black trousers. The global star seemed a bit weary after her travels as she exited the VIP area of the airport.
This marks Dua’s second visit to India but her inaugural live performance in the country. Previously, she traveled to Rajasthan for a vacation, where she was able to enjoy some privacy and anonymity. However, this trip is all about business, and she aims to captivate as many fans as possible.
Opening for Dua on November 30 will be Indian playback artist Jonita Gandhi. Recently, Dua shared her thoughts on a mash-up of her hit “Levitating” with the song “Wo Ladki Jo Sabse Alag Hai” from the Shah Rukh Khan classic “Baadshah.” She expressed how impressed she was with the viral track and labeled the mashup as “amazing.”
Dua Lipa is a hugely celebrated figure in contemporary music, boasting a notable collection of awards that includes seven Brit Awards and three Grammy Awards. In 2024, Time magazine recognized her as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. Before launching her music career in 2014 with Warner Bros., she worked as a model.
Her self-titled debut album released in 2017 reached number three on the UK Albums Chart and featured hit singles such as “Be the One,” “IDGAF,” and the chart-topping “New Rules.” In 2018, she received Brit Awards for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act.
