Sila Studios has officially announced the beginning of pre-production for the new crime drama series “The Prince,” starring Ahmed Ezz. This project stands as one of the largest drama productions in the Arab world, supported by the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) and produced in collaboration with the MBC Group. The series is slated for exclusive release on the Shahid platform later in 2027, with subtitles available in both Arabic and English.

The production boasts a talented international team, directed by renowned filmmaker Stephen Hopkins and scripted by Salah El-Gohainy. The cast includes prominent Arab actors such as Ahmed Ezz, Amina Khalil, and Sami El-Sheikh, alongside international stars including Tuba Büyüküstün, Meryem Uzerli, Pedro Alonso, and Paul Anderson.
Ahmed Ezz’s Role in “The Prince”
In this series, Ezz portrays an Egyptian officer leading a double life amid a complex web of global clandestine conflicts. Under the alias of one of the world’s most wanted terrorists, his undercover mission unravels as he races against time to prevent an imminent threat, entangled in betrayals and competing interests.
Blending action and political intrigue, the series offers a deep personal exploration of family bonds—all depicted with cinematic quality aiming for international excellence.
Launch Plans for “The Prince”
Filming is set to kick off in April across various locations, including Riyadh’s Al Hosn Big Time Studios—one of the region’s most advanced production facilities—and multiple sites in Cairo.
Meanwhile, Ahmed Ezz eagerly awaits the release of “Dogs 7.”
He is also excited about his upcoming film “Dogs 7,” premiering in Saudi Arabia and Egypt on May 26th, coinciding with Eid al-Adha 2026. To mark a milestone, this is the first film entirely shot at Big Time Studios in Riyadh, with a budget exceeding $40 million—a testament to the expanding scale and resources of Arab cinema.
The film features Karim Abdel Aziz alongside Ezz, based on a story by Turki Abdulmohsen Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the GEA. Screenplay and dialogue are by Mohamed Al-Dabbah, with Bilal Al-Arabi and Adel Fallah directing—springing from their recent work on the “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” franchise.
“The Dogs 7” story follows Interpol officer Khaled Al-Azzazi who captures Ghali Abu Daoud, a key figure in the clandestine international organization “Dogs 7.” A year later, the organization revives its illegal activities, distributing a dangerous substance called “Pink Lady” across the Middle East.
Faced with this threat, Khaled must cooperate with Ghali on a secret mission spanning multiple countries to dismantle the network and halt the drug’s spread. Their tense partnership, built on rivalry and intelligence, becomes a formidable alliance confronting a global crime syndicate.
The film features a cast of international stars, including Giancarlo Esposito (“Breaking Bad,” “The Mandalorian”), Italian actress Monica Bellucci, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, Indian actor Sanjay Dutt, and martial artist Max Huang (“Mortal Kombat”). Additionally, Tara Emad and Sandy Bella star as Interpol agents, with Saudi actor Nasser Al-Qasabi portraying General Nasser—a dramatic encounter with Sayed Ragab’s General Sabri adds authentic regional flavor. Other notable appearances include Hana El Zahed, Menna Shalaby, and Hala Sedki.
