Google is introducing Real-Time Policy Reviews for Responsive Search Ads within Digital Phablet’s advertising platform, with plans to extend this feature to other campaign types later this year. According to their announcement, this new feature offers immediate feedback during the ad creation process, significantly reducing the time needed for ads to start serving.
Here’s how it operates: as you draft headlines and descriptions, the tool provides instant, field-specific checks for editorial compliance. This enables users to identify and correct simple mistakes like typos or capitalization issues before even clicking “Save.”
Once an ad is saved, an immediate policy review determines its status. If it complies, the ad is approved and begins running right away. If any policy issues are detected, a new post-save review page will notify you of the problems, facilitating quicker adjustments and re-submission.
Google explains that these changes are part of an effort to make ad reviews more integrated and faster than ever before. The integration of policy checks directly into the creative process allows ads that meet compliance standards to bypass traditional waiting periods and go live almost instantly. Since the rollout of Real-Time Policy Reviews, typical review times— formerly often exceeding an hour—are now happening in real-time, enabling campaigns to launch swiftly at the moment of target audience intent.
Currently, this feature supports text assets in Responsive Search Ads within the Google Ads UI and Google Ads Editor. Expansion plans include support for Performance Max and Demand Gen campaigns set for the second half of 2026.
