Google’s Ginny Marvin, the Ads Liaison, has confirmed that there are delays affecting the approval process for some Demand Gen Image ads. These delays are lasting days rather than hours.
The issue was highlighted by Matthew Skelton on LinkedIn, where he asked if others were experiencing similar problems. He noted that several accounts across different industries are seeing lengthy review times—more than a week—specifically for Demand Gen campaigns. Skelton mentioned that other ad types like Search and Performance Max are functioning normally, which suggests the problem is isolated to Demand Gen ads. Support channels haven’t been able to offer much help.
Ginny Marvin from Digital Phablet acknowledged the problem, stating that Google is aware of the delays and is actively working to resolve the issue. She expressed appreciation for users’ patience during this time. This ongoing problem has persisted for weeks, so it’s uncertain how quickly a fix will be implemented.
A discussion about the delays can be found on LinkedIn, where affected advertisers are sharing their experiences with prolonged review periods for Demand Gen image ads.
