OpenAI has recently made some intriguing updates to its ChatGPT web application, particularly concerning its voice mode features. Although these modifications are not yet accessible to all users, they signal significant advancements in how conversational AI can be tailored to individual preferences.
One notable addition is the introduction of a “voice speed” control, which allows users to tweak how quickly ChatGPT speaks. This feature is adjustable via a slider that can modify the speech rate from as slow as 0.5x to as fast as 2.0x. In addition, OpenAI has expanded its voice mode capabilities with a “custom command prefix” feature. This allows the AI to remember specific instructions from users, eliminating the need to repeat common directives.
