Social media platform X experienced outages for thousands of users across the United States and the United Kingdom on Monday, according to Downdetector.com.
As of 8:24 a.m. Eastern Time (1:24 p.m. GMT), there were over 23,210 reports of issues with X, based on data from Downdetector, which aggregates outage reports from various sources.
The tracker also recorded a high of 254 reports originating from Pakistan at around 6:47 p.m.
Global internet monitoring organization NetBlocks stated, “X (formerly Twitter) is currently facing international outages; this incident is not linked to country-specific internet disruptions or censorship.”

X did not immediately reply to inquiries about the cause of the outage. The actual number of impacted users might differ from Downdetector’s figures, as these reports are submitted by individual users.
