Buckingham Palace announced that Queen Elizabeth’s husband had died on the 9th of April 2021 in Windsor castle in the United Kingdom, and his age was 99.

Prince Philip was born in Greece on 10th of june 1921. Who was the member of the British Royal family and who was the husband of Queen Elizabeth ll.

He was the son of Prince Andrew of Denmark and Greece. Philip was born into the Greek and Danish royal families. He was born in Greece, but his family was exiled from the country when he was eighteen months old. After being educated in France, Germany and the United Kingdom, he joined the British Royal Navy in 1939, aged 18.

Philip was first educated at The Elms, an American school in Paris run by Donald MacJannet, who described Philip as a “know it all smarty person, but always remarkably polite”.

In early 1939, Philip completed a term as a cadet at the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth.

In the summer of 1946, Philip asked the King for his daughter’s hand in marriage. The King granted his request. The engagement was announced to the public on 10 July 1947.

Prince Philip Death

Philip died on 9 April 2021, aged 99, two months before his 100th birthday. He was the longest-serving royal consort in British history.

The Queen described the death of her husband in private as as “having left a huge void in her life”.

Even though the palace said that he died peacefully but still the cause of death has not been disclosed. His death led to the commencement of Operation Forth Bridge, the plan for publicly announcing his death and organising his funeral.

The funeral is scheduled to take place on 17 April 2021 at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.
