On October 11, a prominent tech blogger revealed details about a groundbreaking 1.5K true full-screen display featuring under-display camera technology. This display is characterized by its extremely narrow bezels and significantly improved screen quality, as highlighted in a video shared by the blogger.
The footage demonstrated that while switching between game scenes, the under-display camera section did not show any noticeable differences in resolution, maintaining clarity throughout. The screen’s bezels are particularly thin, making it the first in the industry to offer a 100% full-area high-definition under-display solution.
The blogger also disclosed that this innovative screen will debut on the Nubia Z70 Ultra, with mass production expected to begin next month. This device is touted as the world’s best flagship smartphone without notches or punch holes.
Compared to previous under-display camera technologies, the new 1.5K full-area high-definition screen boasts the advantage of perfectly concealing the front camera while preserving high screen resolution, delivering a truly immersive full-screen experience.
Previously, Nubia and Redmagic have introduced multiple models using under-display camera technology. For instance, the Nubia Z60 Ultra features a 6.8-inch sixth-generation super-competitive full-screen display, supporting a high frequency of 2160Hz PWM dimming and a 120Hz refresh rate.
As an upgraded flagship, the Nubia Z70 Ultra not only integrates the latest 1.5K full-area high-definition under-display camera solution but also comes equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, signifying a significant leap in both screen technology and overall performance.
