Customers purchasing an iPhone 16 or iPhone 16 Pro will notice a notable absence in the packaging: the familiar Apple stickers.

According to communications sent to Apple Store staff, as reported by 9to5Mac, Apple has announced that the iPhone 16 will not include Apple stickers in the box. Instead, customers can only obtain the stickers if they specifically request them at the time of purchase.

If you happen to buy your iPhone 16 at an Apple Store, you’ll have the option to request an Apple sticker during checkout. However, if you’re buying from third-party retailers or ordering for home delivery, you’ll need to forgo the stickers entirely.

This decision aligns with Apple’s ongoing commitment to environmental conservation and its ambition to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. The company has highlighted that the packaging for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro is now entirely made from fiber, a step closer to its target of eliminating plastic from packaging by next year.

Although this marks a significant change, it isn’t entirely unexpected. When the Apple Vision Pro was released in February, many buyers noticed the absence of stickers in that package as well. Similarly, the latest iPad Pro and iPad Air, launched in May, also went stickerless.
