The Galaxy S25 Slim has generated considerable buzz and speculation recently. However, recent leaks indicate that it may not be launched in the United States through any domestic carriers. Nevertheless, it could still be acquired through different channels.
Evan Blass, a well-known source for updates on the S25 series, shared on X that the Galaxy S25 Slim “will almost certainly not be available via US carriers. In regions where it is offered, anticipate it to sit between the S25 Plus and Ultra in terms of marketing and pricing.”
Despite this, the Galaxy S25 Slim has already been assigned a US serial number: SM-S937U. For context, the other models in the S25 lineup have the serials SM-S931U, SM-S936U, and SM-S938U. The “U” at the end of these identifiers signifies a North American release. It’s worth noting that it was already expected to launch alongside the other models in this series, with projections leaning towards a May release or early in the second quarter.

Considering that it already has a US serial number, it raises questions about why the leaks indicate it won’t be available in this market. It’s possible that Samsung has shifted its marketing strategy since the phone was first spotted, but there is evident demand in the western market for slim smartphones, suggesting that Samsung may decide to introduce this model — especially with the anticipated release of the iPhone 17 Air in the same market.
While the Galaxy S25 Slim’s future remains somewhat ambiguous, its tech specifications appear promising. Current reports indicate that it could measure around 6.4mm or less in thickness, equipped with a triple-camera setup, and powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. More conclusive details are expected to be revealed at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, where the release dates and potential availability of the Slim in the US will likely be addressed.
