As the clock ticks down in the teaser for The Life of Chuck, anticipation builds for the film adaptation of Stephen King’s 2020 short story.

He is also slated to adapt two more of King’s novels, The Dark Tower and Carrie, for Amazon MGM Studios. Though Flanagan and King are typically associated with horror, The Life of Chuck offers a different narrative experience.
The film had its premiere at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, where it received the People’s Choice Award. Neon, the distributor behind last year’s Best Picture winner Anora, is set to release Flanagan’s film.
The Life of Chuck is scheduled to hit theaters on June 6, 2025.
