Samsung is gearing up to unveil its Galaxy S25 smartphone series on January 22. Following this launch, the company is expected to introduce a new mid-range device aimed to rival the Google Pixel 8a.
As reported by Android Authority, the upcoming Galaxy A56 has received multiple certifications in China, signaling that its release in that market is on the horizon. These certifications have disclosed several official specs and images.
The leaked images indicate that the Galaxy A56 will incorporate a camera bar akin to that found on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Furthermore, it will feature an LED flash positioned on the right side, along with the volume and power buttons organized in a “Key Island” design, reminiscent of the Galaxy A15, A25, and the existing A55 models.
Previous leaks suggest that the Galaxy A56 will be powered by the Exynos 1580 chipset and will feature a rear camera system consisting of a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide sensor, and a 5MP depth sensor, along with a robust 5,000mAh battery. Notably, the A56 is poised to support 45W fast charging, marking a first for Samsung’s Galaxy A series.

These enhancements are expected to make the Galaxy A56 a notable upgrade compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy A55, which debuted in March 2024 and received criticism for its awkward design, absence of wireless charging, and other shortcomings.
Much like the Galaxy S25 series—which includes the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra—the Galaxy A56 is anticipated to launch with Android 15 and One UI 7.
Samsung is expected to reveal the Galaxy A56 in March.
