A new fingerprint verification system has been introduced through a partnership with the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra), enabling users to verify their identities via the Pak ID app, according to an official announcement.
This upgraded system also offers facial recognition as an alternative for those who encounter challenges with fingerprint authentication, providing enhanced convenience and accessibility.
Previously, overseas Pakistanis experienced difficulties with online fingerprint verification processes, leading authorities to implement these improvements, stated Mustafa Jamal, Director General of Passports and Immigration.
“This facility will notably assist overseas Pakistanis and senior citizens by making the verification process simpler and more user-friendly,” Jamal added.
He emphasized that all efforts are being made to introduce modern, citizen-centric services aimed at reducing complexity and increasing ease of access for the public.
