In his latest Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman, a prominent Apple analyst and journalist, points out that dwindling inventory of the iPhone SE suggests a new version will be released soon. The iPhone SE 4 has sparked considerable speculation, with predictions of a launch window set between March and April 2025.
Gurman’s insight that the stock is low nationwide serves as a strong signal that a new release is on the horizon; if not, supply levels would likely be more stable. Although the current iPhone SE is still accessible via the Apple Store, seeing the iPhone SE 4 debut in the next few months would align its launch with previous SE models.
A launch during March or April would correspond with other analyses from well-known tipster Ming-Chi Kuo.

The upcoming iPhone SE 4 might represent a significant shift in Apple’s approach to its budget models. While contemporary iPhones boast sleek and powerful designs, the current iPhone SE retains the appearance of a much older model.
Rumors suggest that the new version will take design cues from the iPhone 14, likely featuring a larger display, the elimination of the Home button, and potentially the introduction of an Action button. While prices are not expected to rise significantly, a slight increase may be observed, though it should remain below the $500 mark.
The iPhone SE 4 is anticipated to come equipped with Apple’s A18 chip and a base configuration of 8GB of RAM, enabling support for advanced Apple Intelligence features. Additionally, various smaller enhancements could elevate the SE from being merely a budget alternative to a sought-after device.
