For the first time in Punjab’s history, the provincial government officially deployed anti-smog guns in Lahore’s Kahna to improve air quality, according to a spokesperson from the Environment Protection Force.
The spokesperson noted that Kahna saw a 70% decrease in air pollution after implementing the anti-smog guns.
“Following Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s directive, the first anti-smog gun operation in Kahna has reduced the Air Quality Index (AQI) from 666 to 170.”
She added that the 70% reduction in air pollution has been scientifically verified using an advanced environmental monitoring system.
“Our commitment to employing modern technology to combat smog and protect public health remains unwavering,” she emphasized.
