OpenAI‘s popular chatbot, ChatGPT, is currently experiencing technical difficulties, leaving many users unable to access the service. The company has acknowledged the issue and says its team is working on a fix.
Numerous users have reported that upon signing in, they are greeted by a blank page where their conversation history should appear. The chat tab, typically located on the left side of the interface, is missing entirely. This glitch effectively prevents users from reviewing past interactions or initiating new conversations with the AI.
“I can’t see any of my previous chats, and there’s no way to start a new one. It’s just a white screen,” said one frustrated user on social media.
OpenAI confirmed the outage in a statement: “We’re aware that some users are encountering issues with ChatGPT, including blank pages and missing chat features. Our engineers are actively working to resolve this problem.”
The company did not provide an estimated time for service restoration or details about the cause of the malfunction. ChatGPT, which uses advanced language models to engage in human-like text conversations, has become a go-to tool for millions worldwide since its launch in November 2022.
This outage comes as AI services face growing pains amid surging demand. OpenAI and its competitors are under pressure to maintain reliability as their technologies become increasingly integrated into daily life and business operations.
