If you’re trying to remove a specific reaction from a discussion or comment on GitHub, here’s a simple step-by-step guide to help you do that:
First, locate the message or comment where you added the reaction. Check the reactions underneath the message, which typically include emojis like thumbs up, thumbs down, laugh, hooray, confused, heart, rocket, or eyes.
Next, find the reaction you want to remove. Often, each reaction has a small icon or emoji with a count next to it showing how many people reacted with that emoji.
If you have already reacted with a particular emoji and want to remove your reaction, simply click or tap on that same emoji again. Your reaction should toggle off, reducing the count by one and removing your icon from the list of reactions.
For example:
– If you reacted with a thumbs up and want to remove it, just click the 👍 emoji again.
– The count should decrease, and your reaction will disappear from the list.
That’s it! Just clicking your existing reaction again is all it takes to remove it. This makes it easy to manage how you engage with discussion comments or posts without any complicated steps.
