In Windows 11, right-clicking a file or folder within File Explorer reveals an extended context menu when you select “Show more options.” Among the various choices, you’ll find the “Send to” command.
This feature enables quick actions such as creating a shortcut to the selected item, forwarding it via email, or opening it with a designated application.
Over time, the “Send to” menu can become cluttered with unnecessary entries. To clean it up, first select the desired file or folder, then press the Windows + R keys simultaneously.
This opens the Run dialog box. Type in the command shell:sendto and hit Enter. A folder will open displaying all the shortcuts listed in the “Send to” menu. You can remove any outdated or unwanted shortcuts directly from this directory to streamline your options.
