If you’re experiencing issues with your printer after an app update, I found a simple solution that might help. The update may have installed a generic driver called “Generic IPP Class,” which can sometimes cause communication problems with your printer.
To fix this, go to your printer settings on your computer. Find the section labeled “Printer Properties” and click on the “Advanced” tab. In the dropdown menu next to “Driver,” you’ll probably see “Microsoft IPP Driver” selected. Change this to the correct driver for your printer, which in my case was “HP Envy 6000 series.”
Once you select the right driver, save your changes and try printing again. This quick adjustment should resolve the issue and get your printer working smoothly again.
