If you’ve recently upgraded to a new iPhone and noticed that Siri no longer acknowledges your thank yous, you’re not alone. Many users have experienced this change in Siri’s responses. While it may seem like a small issue, it can be a little frustrating when you miss the warm responses of previous versions. So, how can you deal with this? Here are a few tips to help you get the most out of your Siri experience:

  1. Check Siri’s Settings
Sometimes, settings can change during updates. Make sure Siri is set up to respond the way you want. Go to Settings > Siri & Search and look for options related to Siri’s voice feedback. Adjusting these settings might enhance how Siri interacts with you.

  2. Use Different Phrases
If you want a specific response from Siri, try varying your language. Instead of a simple "thank you," you might say, "I appreciate your help." While Siri might not always give the same responses, this could prompt her to acknowledge your gratitude.

  3. Restart Your iPhone
A quick restart can often fix glitches or minor bugs. Press and hold the power button, then slide to power off. Once it’s off, turn it back on and see if Siri’s behavior has changed.

  4. Update iOS
Ensure your phone’s software is up to date. Go to Settings > General > Software Update to check for any new updates. Apple frequently releases updates that might improve Siri’s functions.

  5. Provide Feedback
If you prefer the old Siri responses, let Apple know! They value user feedback and might make changes in future updates. You can submit your thoughts through the Feedback Assistant app or their website.

  6. Experiment with Siri’s Settings
There are plenty of voice options and accents available. Explore these in Settings > Siri & Search > Siri Voice. Sometimes, a different voice might change the interaction experience.

Embracing change can be tricky, especially with technology we become accustomed to. By following these tips, you can make your time with Siri more enjoyable and tailored to your preferences. Remember, Siri is always learning, just like us!
