Are you having trouble locating your iPhone or iPhone through your Apple Watch? You might have noticed that commands like “Find my iPhone,” “Find my phone,” or “Ping my phone” show up on your watch, but Siri responds with, “Sorry, can you say that again?” even though the app on your Apple Watch seems to be working. This issue became more common after updating to iOS 16. However, there is a simple way to fix this and make your phone’s location easier to find again.

The problem is that, since the latest update, the “Find my” app on the Apple Watch isn’t automatically active. Instead, it requires a manual step to locate your phone. Here’s what you can do to solve the issue:

  1. Use the Find My app directly on your Apple Watch:
Open the “Find My” app on your watch. If it’s not already on your watch face, press the Digital Crown, tap the app grid, and look for the “Find My” icon.

  2. Tap on “Devices”:
Once the app opens, select “Devices,” and then choose your iPhone from the list.

  3. Ping your phone:
Tap the “Ping” option. Your iPhone will make a sound, helping you locate it. This method forces the watch to connect with your iPhone and trigger the sound even if Siri isn’t responding properly.

  4. Ensure your devices are connected:
Make sure your iPhone and Apple Watch are connected via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. If they’re disconnected, the commands and functions won’t work smoothly.

  5. Check for updates:
Sometimes, glitches happen when your device software isn’t current. Make sure both your iPhone and Apple Watch are running the latest software versions. Go to Settings > General > Software Update.

By manually opening the Find My app on your watch and pinging your iPhone, you can overcome Siri’s unhelpful “say that again” responses. It’s a quick workaround that saves you time and frustration when trying to locate your phone. Keep your devices updated, and you’ll have an easier time finding your phone whenever you need it.
