Roborock continuously refreshes its robot vacuum range, and the Qrevo Edge and Qrevo Slim are among the latest models introduced. These robot vacuum and mop combinations are set to be some of the premium choices available, featuring innovative functions not commonly seen in other models. While they have many specifications in common, there are distinct differences that should be considered before deciding which one is right for your home.

Let’s take a detailed look at the Roborock Qrevo Edge and Qrevo Slim to help you determine which vacuum is more suitable for your flooring needs.

As of now, Roborock has not disclosed the prices for these two models. However, it is anticipated that the Edge will come at a higher price point due to its superior specifications compared to the Slim. Both models boast a similar aesthetic, featuring exposed water reservoirs atop a sleek rectangular base. They look impressive in any setting and are sure to enhance your home’s décor.

The Roborock Qrevo Edge delivers an impressive 18,500Pa of suction power, ranking it among the most powerful robot vacuum options available. In contrast, the Slim reaches a maximum suction of 11,000Pa. The Edge’s unique feature is its DuoDivide Brush—a system comprising two separate roller brushes that collect and direct hair into a central opening, drastically reducing tangling. The Slim, on the other hand, utilizes the traditional DuoRoller Brush, which performs well but doesn’t have the advanced capabilities of the DuoDivide.

Despite these differences, there are many shared features between the two devices. They include a swinging side brush for cleaning tight corners, automatic brush lifting when moisture is detected, and ultrasonic carpet detection for optimal cleaning.

Both models can autonomously empty their dustbins at the docking station upon completing a cleaning session. The dustbin on the Edge holds 325mL, while the Slim accommodates 220mL, with Roborock stating that both can last up to seven weeks before needing a replacement for the dustbag in the docking station.

Both the Edge and Slim have similar mopping capabilities. They are equipped with dual rotating mop pads, with one designed to sway outward for cleaning along baseboards and furniture. Additionally, they both feature automatic mop lifting when carpets are detected. The Edge has the ability to raise its entire body by 10mm, with the mops also lifting an additional 10mm, while the Slim’s mop can only elevate 10mm.

The docking stations for both models provide washing and drying functions for the mop pads after each cleaning cycle, and they can even assess whether a subsequent cleaning is required to tackle tough residue. When the mop pads are being cleaned, a scrubber within the dock helps ensure that no dirt accumulates in the base between uses.

Both models incorporate a built-in voice assistant named Rocky, allowing users to issue commands directly without relying on a mobile app. They also come with the capability to capture snapshots of your pets, which can be an enjoyable feature for pet owners.

The Edge boasts a runtime of up to 240 minutes, while the Slim provides 180 minutes. For larger homes, the additional 60 minutes could be significant, though either option should have sufficient battery life for the cleaning of smaller spaces.

Although their navigation systems differ slightly (LDS Laser for the Edge versus 3D ToF Navigation for the Slim), both are responsive and dependable in practical applications.

Which is the superior robot vacuum and mop combination?

The Roborock Qrevo Edge features many shared specifications with the Qrevo Slim. Nonetheless, its notable increase in suction power and enhanced mop-lifting capabilities position the Edge as a more suitable choice for households with carpets. Conversely, if your primary use for the vacuum is mopping, the Qrevo Slim is a cost-effective alternative offering comparable mopping functions. Most hard floors do not require the higher suction power that the Edge provides, which is mainly tailored to manage thick carpets.
