Discovering the Finger Ruins of Rhia in Elden Ring
The Finger Ruins of Rhia is an elusive locale in Elden Ring, pivotal for progressing in Count Ymir’s Quest. Players must explore this area to confront one of the game’s significant bosses.
Location Overview
Nestled behind a coastline adorned with Cerulean Flowers, the Finger Ruins of Rhia is a desolate site populated by hostile creatures, making it one of the trickiest areas to access in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
In this guide, we’ll outline a step-by-step pathway to these ruins and provide tips on dodging enemies along the way to ring the bell located there.
Finding the Finger Ruins of Rhia
The Finger Ruins of Rhia can be found in the Cerulean Coast region of Scadu Altus, but reaching it calls for careful navigation.
-
Start Your Journey: Begin at the Castle Ensis Gate grace site. From there, turn around and head left toward the first marker on the map, with the goal of reaching the Ellac River Cave.
-
Navigating the Path: Head left down the path, keeping an eye out for large demi-human enemies. Continue on the left trail until you hit the second marker.
Tip: To reach the second marker, you’ll need to cross a poisonous swamp. It’s advisable to use Torrent to prevent poison build-up.
- Entering the Cave: After reaching the second marker, turn left and locate a small cave entrance guarded by a massive plant. Inside the Ellac Cave, take the left path until you find its grace site.
Venturing to Ellac River Downstream
Upon exiting the cave, follow the left path next to the waterfall. Make careful jumps on rock formations to reach the bottom without falling.
These jumps can be tricky, so it’s best to use Torrent for extra protection. After reaching the base, follow the pathway adorned with bird statues but be cautious; the statues will spring to life and attack you with magical spells.
Exploring Cerulean Coast
Continue downstream, hugging the right wall of the valley until you spot a Furnace Golem in the distance. Avoid engaging it. Watch for a small opening in the cave wall that leads to the Cerulean Coast.
-
Make Your Way to the Coast: Follow along the coastline, sticking to the left, until you encounter a marker we’ve placed on the map. Navigate straight through the left opening to find a large coffin.
- Entering the Finger Ruins: To the right of this coffin, there’s a small opening you can jump through to access the Finger Ruins of Rhia. Your main objective here is to ring the bell located in the center.
Completing the Quest
Before you can ring the bell, you need to undertake Count Ymir’s Quest to obtain the Hole-Laden Necklace; otherwise, the bell won’t ring. Be aware of the Lampreys and Fingercreeper enemies lurking within the ruins.
Dodge past these foes to ring the bell and earn the Crimson Seed Talisman +1. Return to Count Ymir at the Cathedral of Manus Metyr for further rewards, including the map to the Finger Ruins of Dheo and the Beloved Stardust Talisman.
By following this guide, you’ll unlock a crucial segment of the game while overcoming the challenges that lie within Rhia’s eerie landscape. Happy adventuring!
