Lego Batman: Legacy Of The Dark Knight features many collectibles scattered throughout the open world and during missions. One of the most charming finds is a side quest involving animals that have escaped from the zoo.

Batman’s responsibilities aren’t always about battling villains; sometimes he needs to handle less aggressive yet still tricky tasks. Can you help the zookeepers find each escaped animal in Gotham and put trackers on them? Here’s everything you need to complete this mission safely and efficiently.

All Escaped Zoo Animal Locations

You can start these animal rescue missions after completing the first Catwoman mission, where you’re tasked with tagging a polar bear. After that, the zookeepers ask you to locate and tag the rest of the runaway animals. This side quest takes you across almost every district, searching for multiple animals in each area.

In the East End – Amusement Mile, the first animal is a black bear, which can be found on a basketball court opposite the Monarch Theater. The bear will charge at you a few times, so dodge its charges and wait for its pause to place the tracker.

Next, you need to find five sloths under billboards at a small subway station:
– One is on the ground behind a large pillar.
– One is on top of a small building’s roof.
– Another is just ahead on a different small building’s roof.
– One is up on the steel beams above—just grapple up to find it.
– The last is even higher up, on the beams again.

In Gotham Village at Robinson Park, you’ll see two lionesses wandering near a fountain. Sneak up to them to place trackers. If they spot you, dodge their attacks and place the tracker when they are stunned. Be careful not to let the second lioness attack while you’re busy with the first.

Southwest of this area, three wolves dart around near the water. They are very skittish, so approach quietly from behind. If they see you, they’ll keep running.

In the park full of flowers at the center of this zone, find two elephants—one on the left side of a small bridge near the road, and the other on the right. These gentle giants are easy to tag once you approach calmly.

Outside the Botanical Gardens, three leopards are prowling around. They will charge and attack, so either sneak up on them or wait until they’re stunned after an attack to place the trackers.

Near the GCPD, three polar bears wander about. These animals charge when they see you and will run around until you hide. To tag them, quietly sneak behind them but be quick—polar bears tend to run off even without seeing you.

Moving to Newtown, three parrots perch around a fountain. Stay stealthy: these birds will fly away if they notice you. One is on the fountain, another high on the Miller and Moore building to the left, and a third on the opposite side of that building. If they fly off, pay attention to where they land or use your ability to scan the area to locate them again.

The next animals are at the Aventine Hotel. Look carefully for four small, green frogs—one above the main entrance, another perched on the edge of the hotel after grappling up, a third on the side of the building after another grapple, and the last on the railway tracks on the left side of the hotel.

The final animal here is a panther near the Gotham Museum by the fountain. The panther pounces three times before cowering or running into something. Wait for it to be dazed or tired before placing the tracker. Sneaking up from behind is possible but tricky due to its constant movement.

In The Cauldron North at Ace Chemical, only three red parrots escaped. They are perched high at the Quillan Pharma factory: one just in front of the Pharma sign, another on the Quillan sign, and the last under the left chimney stack.

In Old Gotham West, the first animal is a toucan sitting on a wall near a fountain behind the theater—approach with caution. The last is a tiger prowling around a large statue opposite the theater; approach from behind to avoid being attacked, possibly stalking around the statue to get close.

In Old Gotham North, three brown coyotes run through an alley near the Plaza. They are skittish, so use sneaking and chasing to get behind them and place trackers. Additionally, four koalas sit under the railway lines—one on a wall, one on the stairs leading up, and two higher near the metro entrance.

In Old Gotham South, the first animal is the black bear from the Catwoman mission. Next is a zebra that will run if it sees you—approach slowly from behind to tag it. Five meerkats are at Grant Zoo; they’re calm and will allow trackers to be placed once approached quietly. They’re located near the entrance, a nearby tree, the bandstand, and at the end of the area by some steps leading to a sewer.

Finally, three penguins are on land in Old Gotham North, all on the ground and a bit nervous, requiring stealthy approach through nearby alleys. The last animal, a brown bear, is at Tricorner Yards near the WayneTech building, surrounded by shipping containers. Approach quietly from behind, and if spotted, dodge attacks and hide until safe.

That covers all the animal locations across Gotham for this side quest.
