In No, I’m Not a Human, there are ten endings to discover, some more difficult to find than others. You will always encounter the strange, bald prophet who visits on specific nights, but unlocking the ending associated with him can be easy to miss.
It’s straightforward to follow his first instruction, but things become less clear afterward. No worries—we have a full guide here to help you achieve the “Embrace The Inevitable” ending.
First Step: Let The Cat In
The Prophet, sometimes called the Egg Head Guy, appears on the third night and tells you to accept the cat. To do this, invite in the Cat Lady, who shows up on the fourth night as a Visitor. Only by bringing her in can you get the cat into your house. This step is important because it allows access to the basement, as the cat pulls up the carpet.
Don’t forget:
- It doesn’t matter which dialogue option you choose when speaking with him; the message remains the same: “Let the cat in.”
- Be sure to eliminate the Cat Lady as soon as possible to prevent her from killing someone. She might kill on the first night she’s in your home, but sometimes she won’t; stay alert for potential danger.
It’s also wise to order some Enerjeka from ForRest and keep it stored in your fridge for later use.
Second Step: Don’t Test For Visitors on the 6th and 7th Nights
The prophet warns that testing for Visitors on the sixth and seventh days can bring doom. If you accepted the cat, he comes back on the fifth night with your next clue: “For two days yonder… Testing portends doom.”
- Do not conduct any tests on yourself or guests during these days.
- The prophet mentions the radio, but you don’t have to interact with it to complete this ending.
Third Step: Dig In The Basement
The prophet will return on the ninth night if you’ve followed his instructions, asking about your basement and saying, “Something’s there, beneath the soil.”
- On the tenth day, check your armpits in the bathroom and clean them thoroughly. You can use another energy source as long as you keep at least one dose of Enerjeka unused.
- Head to your basement; ignore any mushrooms you see as they relate to a different ending. At the very back, you’ll be prompted to dig.
Note:
- Digging consumes all your energy, so ensure you’ve ordered Enerjeka beforehand.
- After your first dig, go upstairs and drink only one Enerjeka. Then return to the basement and dig again. Repeat this process until you’ve dug three times, creating a tunnel.
- You can explore the tunnels, but they lead nowhere—except for a dead end where you can speak with the Miner for optional extra info.
The Vigilante will attempt to test you on the tenth night. Remember, digging makes your hands dirty—don’t show them unless you wash in the bathroom first. Drinking Enerjeka will cause red eyes, so hide them if necessary.
Next Steps: The Prophet Returns
If you’ve followed his instructions properly, the prophet will come back on the twelfth night, asking about your basement again and saying, “Something’s there, beneath the soil.”
- On the next day (the 13th), be sure to check your hands in the bathroom and clean them to be ready for the Vigilante’s visit that night.
- Go back into your basement, enter the tunnel, and follow the path: left, right, right, then left. You’ll meet the Miner and can jump into the hole.
- This leads to a strange landscape where you’ll see Death moving in the sky. Speak with it when close enough.
- Your choices here don’t matter; soon, you’ll be transported to a new scene. Head toward the house, and you’ve unlocked the “Embrace The Inevitable” ending.
Note:
Unrelated to this ending, you’ll later encounter the Prophet again if you unlock the “Yes, I’m a Murderer” ending.
