Bloodbone Arrows are a type of craftable arrow in Elden Ring that not only deals physical damage but also triggers Blood Loss buildup. These arrows work exceptionally well with Bleed Builds and can be obtained relatively early in your adventure.
This guide will walk you through how to unlock the crafting recipe for Bloodbone Arrows and gather the necessary materials.
Location of Bloodbone Arrows
You cannot find Bloodbone Arrows as loot or buy them from any merchants in Elden Ring. Your only option is to craft them.
To craft Bloodbone Arrows, you need to unlock their recipe from the Nomadic Warrior’s Cookbook 6. This cookbook is located in Fort Haight, situated in the eastern region of Limgrave and Mistwood.
Once you have acquired the cookbook and the Bloodbone Arrow recipe, you will need the following ingredients to craft a set of ten arrows:
- Thin Beast Bones (3x)
- Bloodrose (1x)
You can easily gather Thin Beast Bones by hunting animals in the wilderness. For Bloodrose, head over to Mohgwyn Palace and locate the Imprisoned Merchant near the entrance of the Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum. This merchant offers an unlimited supply of Bloodrose for 800 Runes each.
How to Use Bloodbone Arrows
Bloodbone Arrows inflict a Blood Loss buildup of 55 on enemies with each hit, making them effective with any standard bow. However, if you use a fully upgraded Serpent Bow, you’ll benefit from enhanced Arcane Scaling, which further increases the Blood Loss effect.
These arrows are perfect for players who favor Bleed Builds, offering the advantage of attacking enemies from a distance and adding variety to your combat strategy.
