In Fisch, you can enjoy the thrill of fishing while also living out your pirate fantasies by searching for treasures. However, this adventure requires a Treasure Map. Hunting for treasure is optional, but it’s a fun way to get acquainted with the game’s mechanics and explore the environment, and the treasures you find can be rewarding.
That said, locating and using Treasure Maps isn’t the easiest task. If you’re new to the game or hearing about Treasure Maps for the first time, keep reading for some helpful guidance!
How to Get a Treasure Map
Unlike some other rare items in Fisch, you cannot simply buy a Treasure Map. Instead, your best bet is to fish one out of the water. That’s the only way to obtain a Treasure Map.
Your odds of catching this item are fairly low, but you can improve your chances by using a Sunken Rod. This rod boosts your chances by 25% after you’ve successfully caught fish ten times.
You can find a Treasure Map anywhere in the game, regardless of the location, season, weather, or time of day.
How to Use a Treasure Map
Before you can embark on your treasure-hunting journey, you must first have your Treasure Map fixed. This can’t be done by yourself; instead, you need to visit Jack Marrow, an NPC. The old pirate will repair the map for just 250 Coins.
To find Jack Marrow, head to Forsaken Shores at coordinates (-2425, 135, 1555). Look for a skull-shaped rock and climb through one of its eye sockets. In the corner of the cave, you’ll spot Jack. Provide him with the Treasure Map from your inventory along with the required currency to have it fixed.
Once you have a repaired Treasure Map, it’s time to begin your quest! To locate the treasure chest, navigate to the coordinates shown on the map using your GPS. Move to that point, and you should come across the chest, which you can open for a prize.
Treasure chests can be found both on land and underwater, so make sure you have the right diving gear before heading out.
