Unlocking Rewards in the Marvel Rivals Winter Celebration Event
Participating in the Winter Celebration event to claim rewards in Marvel Rivals can be a little confusing. It focuses on the Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival, a special mode available throughout the event, where players can tackle event challenges. Here’s a clear, step-by-step guide:
- Engage in matches of Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival. In this mode, two teams of four Jeffs compete to cover the arena in snow using their abilities. The team that covers the largest percentage of the map in snow by the end of the three-minute timer wins. Keep in mind that Jeff’s abilities function differently here, dealing damage while spreading snow. You can heal by standing on your team’s snow!
- Complete the Winter Celebration event challenges by winning matches and defeating opposing Jeffs in this mode. Some challenges yield Golden Frost, while others provide Silver Frost. Be sure to check the Winter Celebration Event section in the Missions menu to see your progress and the timing for unlocking more challenges.
- Access the Winter Celebration event menu and click on any decoration on the card to open the Decorate menu.
- Select any of the card decorations (like the tree, gift box, snowman, ribbon, or festival stage) and spend two Golden Frosts to upgrade it, which will grant you 100 Wintery Atmosphere points.
- Return to the event menu and click the present box icon to claim any rewards you’ve unlocked after gathering enough Wintery Atmosphere.
- Head back to the event menu, click the present box icon, and collect any rewards you’ve earned after accumulating enough Wintery Atmosphere.
Continue these steps until you’ve upgraded all five decorations, which will net you a total of 500 Wintery Atmosphere points. This amount is sufficient to claim all five free rewards for Jeff the Land Shark in this Marvel Rivals event, detailed further below!
You can also use any Silver Frost earned from event challenges on different styles for the card decorations. While this won’t yield rewards, it allows you to create a unique Event Memento—a Winter Celebration Card.
