As you explore the Spring Village in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, you’ll quickly encounter the blight—a significant threat to this world. While tackling this issue, you’ll also meet a variety of characters, each with their own distinct personalities and interests, including Hina. She is one of the outsiders in Azuma and maintains an air of mystery throughout much of the story, although you can start to build a connection with her quite early on.
Hina’s Overview and Common Locations
To unlock Hina in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, you simply need to progress through the prologue until the black dragon shows up wreaking havoc in Spring Village. As the dragon spreads blight, a flying ship will arrive, and you’ll assist in defeating the dragon by sharing its weakness. Once that happens, Hina becomes a bondable character and begins moving around the village, just like the other special residents. Initially, in Spring Village, you can find her leaving the ship every morning by taking the stairs outside your Home Shrine and turning left.
Hina may occasionally leave the ship early, especially on holidays.
Once you unlock Autumn Village, her home can be found at the southern edge, where a small path leads into an open area. Each day begins with her here, and she often spends the rest of her day in either the Summer or Autumn Village. You can track her movements by looking for her icon on the map.
Best Gifts and Hangouts for Hina
After unlocking Hina, you can check your bond level with her through your profile menu. It can go up to ten, primarily increasing through activities involving her, like going on adventures together. Typically, you’ll only earn one or two bond points for most activities, but giving gifts or engaging in her favorite hangouts will significantly boost your bond.
Be cautious—if you give Hina something she dislikes or invite her to a hangout she doesn’t enjoy, your bond value can plummet.
Here are the ideal gifts and hangout options for Hina:

When you interact with Hina, choose "Let’s hang out" and select "Talk about hobbies" or "Talk about dreams" for maximum bond points. Avoid “Tell a joke,” as it’s not one of her favorites.

Hina Marriage Guide
To marry Hina, bring her bond level to ten and complete all her bond quests up to level nine. You can then ask her out at the Fateweaver Shrine after having Divine Spirits and a Plum Branch in your inventory. Remember, this can only be done on a day when you have no other date plans.
Five days after your wedding, you can begin the process of having your first child, which allows you to continue the main story toward its true ending. After some time, Hina will also ask if you’d like to have another child.
