Among the new additions are small, practical items such as Oni masks, while Sprites—tiny and endearing creatures—wander the battle island, awaiting players to collect them for special abilities or trade them for Sprite Boons, which are compact but powerful items.
All Sprite Boons and Their Functions
Sprite Boons are small, gadget-like items that grant abilities, allowing players to receive passive buffs that can be invaluable during battles. Each Boon has an assigned slot in the inventory and does not occupy a weapon slot.
Sadly, you can only hold a maximum of two Boons in your inventory.
These Sprite Boons come in various types, each having a unique effect on players that can significantly improve your chances in combat, giving you that edge needed to overcome opponents.
Boon Type |
Effect |
---|---|
Wind Boon |
Once activated, you can move much faster, but it is only effective while you are wielding your pickaxe. |
Void Boon |
This functions similarly to the Shakedown mechanic: defeat an enemy to expose nearby foes. |
Fire Boon |
Equipping this boon can greatly enhance your weapon’s reload speed. |
Water Boon |
When swimming, the Water Boon can restore your health and shields; it affects everyone nearby. |
How to Locate Sprite Boons
Finding Sprite Boons is quite straightforward. Drop into any of the designated points of interest on the battle royale map, where you might come across a new item called the Elemental Chest. These chests have a high chance of containing Sprite Boons, including the Oni Masks.
In addition to Elemental Chests, you can utilize Sprite Shrines nearby to find the Sprites—the small elemental beings—in the area. After picking up a Sprite and successfully returning it to a Sprite Shrine, the shrine will reward you with a Sprite Boon based on the Sprite’s elemental properties.
