The annual Dawning event in Destiny 2 is currently underway, inviting Guardians to whip up tasty treats for their favorite NPCs in exchange for holiday-themed weapons and cosmetics. This year’s event has introduced a few fresh surprises, including a new title: Star Baker—a reward for those who enjoy both baking goodies and tossing snowballs at foes.

Obtaining the Star Baker title is relatively straightforward. Alongside the snowball and Dawning Spirit Triumphs, the requirements are accessible without many obscure objectives. This guide outlines all the Triumphs associated with the Star Baker title along with tips and strategies to help you complete them with ease.

Dawn of the Dawning

Upon your first visit to the Tower, Eva Levante will greet you. She’ll provide you with a Holiday Oven. Your first task is to create some Gjallardoodles and deliver them to Commander Zavala to complete this initial Triumph. If you’ve been participating in the event since it started, you likely have this done already.

Ice Cold Combat

You’ll need to defeat 100 combatants with snowballs to complete this Triumph. Strikes are your best bet for this task. Lower an enemy’s health, grab a snowball, and take aim to finish them off. It may require multiple runs, especially if you’re teaming up with others, and keep in mind that the snowball must deal the final blow for it to count.

Bake-stravaganza

To complete this Triumph, bake 50 different treats in the Dawning Oven. Since you’ll need to bake at least 20 cookies for the "Expert Baker" Triumph, it shouldn’t be too challenging. It’s advisable to wait until you have masterworked Eva’s Oven to minimize the Dawning Essence required for each bake.

If you’re low on supplies, consider farming Altars of Sorrow on the Moon, as they yield plenty of Hive enemies, making it easier to stock up on essential ingredients.

Baking Triumphs

There are three levels of baking Triumphs that require you to bake various holiday treats in Eva’s Oven. Ensure you have a good stockpile of materials before tackling these challenges, as they require a lot of Dawning Essence. To gather the necessary resources, focus on completing Eva’s bounties or participating in activities like Vanguard Ops and Heist Battlegrounds. This will help you accumulate Dawning Essence efficiently.

Purchasing Dawning Upgrades

To purchase all 12 Dawning upgrades from Eva, you’ll need 380 Dawning Spirit. This currency can be obtained through completing bounties and Triumphs linked to the Star Baker title. If you’ve completed every bounty across your characters, you can earn 24 Dawning Spirit from daily bounties and an additional 60 from weekly ones.

Also, remember that treat-giving to NPCs grants three Dawning Spirit each, so it’s wise to bake and distribute as many cookies as you can. If you participated in previous Dawning events, equip the Starfarer 7M ship from your collections to gain a chance of earning Dawning Spirit each time you gather Dawning ingredients.

Deep Freeze

In this Triumph, you must defeat enemies or Guardians using Stasis abilities or weapons. Consider using Ager’s Scepter for crowd control or seek the Prolonged Engagement SMG from Vanguard Ops if you prefer a non-exotic option that deals Stasis damage.

Yarn Maker

This Triumph requires defeating 100 enemies using Strand damage, which includes utilizing Strand weapons and abilities. If you don’t have the Lightfall expansion, general Strand weapons will still suffice.

Thundersnow

You will need to defeat foes or Guardians using Arc weapons or abilities. The process is straightforward; simply equip your favorite Arc weapons and engage in any content you enjoy. Legendary weapons with Voltshot or the Trinity Ghoul Exotic work well for securing easy PvE kills.

Snowmelt

To obtain this Triumph, defeat enemies or Guardians using Solar abilities or weapons. Each Solar subclass is powerful, offering various tactics. For example, Hunters can use Caliban’s Hand to create Ignites, while Warlocks can utilize Incinerating Snap with Sunbracers for unlimited grenades.

They Call It sNOw

This Triumph tasks you with defeating foes using Void abilities or weapons. Powerful options include Funnelweb, Graviton Lance, or other Void Legendaries. Using the Echo of Instability Fragment can be advantageous for increasing damage against tougher enemies.

Vanguard Eternity

To fulfill this Triumph, complete six activities in Vanguard Ops or Dares of Eternity. Focus on achieving snowball kills in the “Snowball Ops” and “Snowball Dares” Triumphs first. If needed, round out your experience with a few more Vanguard Ops to finish.

Competitive Spirit

You’ll need to complete ten matches in the Crucible or Gambit. Matches in Crucible tend to be faster than Gambit games. You can also consider rotating playlists like Mayhem for quick rounds while collecting Dawning Essence.

Snowstruck

For this final challenge, you need to spawn snowballs by defeating enemies with your weapons or abilities during specific activities. This can be achieved in Vanguard Ops, seasonal content, and patrol spaces. Utilize Eva Levante’s snowball upgrades to generate snowballs from Stasis kills and keep grinding until you’ve completed the Triumph.
